About Us

Who We Are

WELS-CLO was started in fall of 1991 by interested church librarians. The group meets twice a year, spring and fall, at different churches. This allows us the opportunity to visit other libraries and meet many people with similar interests. The conferences consist of an opening devotion, speakers and/or workshops, a short business meeting, and Q & A time. Northwestern Publishing House is on site with a wide selection of media. There is a “freebie” table for media, posters, and other items to share. We encourage all members to contribute items of interest. A newsletter called “From the Bookshelf” is published quarterly. A favorite section features a recommended and rejected list of NPH reviewed Christian books. WELS-CLO also offers a Facebook page to share ideas and ask questions of other church librarians.
